Booloumba Falls Walk

Conondale National Park. Rainforest camping & bush walks

Sunshine Coast Hinterland

The pristine freshwater of Booloumba Creek flows through the heart of Conondale National Park. Located just 1 hour from Mooloolaba, this spectacular native Queensland rainforest will give you a personal ‘Nature Fix’ like no other!

Hi there, this is Livi… founder & owner of Boston Shaker Bar.

I grew up on the Sunshine Coast & my parents spent every spare weekend taking us camping locally where & when possible. One of our most favoured camping & bushwalking locations was in the Booloumba Creek area. If you’re visiting the Sunshine Coast & would like to see where the locals hangout on weekends (or even longer camping stays), then I cannot recommend you see this place for yourself! You will need a 4WD as there are some creek crossings & make sure you pack the camera! Most importantly, there’s no phone reception… time to disconnect!

Cheers Livi.

Queensland Rainforest

One of the most spectacular ancient rainforests of Australia & it’s located just a short drive from Boston Shaker Bar here in Mooloolaba. An ideal day trip with the family to experience mother nature first hand. Rock pools, waterfalls, tall eucalypts, rock & cliff faces, moss, crystal clear creeks, gorges, mountainous look outs, ferns, , kangaroos, native fish, palm trees, vines, platypus & the unique native sounds of birdlife… I could go on forever! You have to see this place!

Immerse yourself

Mother Nature is the perfect place to disconnect… to reconnect! Shallow in most cases & perfect for kids, Booloumba Creek winds its way through the Conondale National Park gorge. Perfect for day trips, pack a picnic, some folding chairs, a towel, you togs & soak up some of Australia most pristine fresh water. Some of my fondest memories come with listening to the native rainforest birdlife. This place simply comes alive!

“Booloumba Falls Walk, is an easy 3klm total rainforest walk that the whole family can enjoy. Approx 2 hour round journey, you will walk in rainforest, swim in freshwater rock pools &take photo’s of mountainous outlooks.”

Camping Available

If you’ve got a few spare days up your sleeves while visiting the Sunshine Coast, why not spend a night or 2 camping under the stars? There are 3 separate camp areas available (with plenty of individual camping sites in each) & all with in a stones throw walk to the water for a swim. Fire pits are available to cook on & sit around at night (bring your own fire wood) & there are basic toilets as well. I have many fond childhood memories camping here & I still return to enjoy it today.
