Plan a day trip… or two!

When serving clients at the Boston Shaker Bar I often get asked
“Where’s a great place we can visit over the next few days?”
So I thought I would share a couple of scenic routes will give you a great day out.

Enjoy!

p:s: I have personally visited & taken these routes myself many times!

  1. Eumundi markets.

    • Open on a Wednesday and Saturday, it’s easy to spend a couple of hours here.

    • Approx 20-25minutes north of Mooloolaba.

  2. Head west through the beautiful lush dairy country to Kenilworth township.

    • There’s a great country pub if it’s for lunch and be sure visit Kenilworth Dairies Cheese Factory.

    • Approx 25 - 30 mins west from Eumundi

  3. Tour south from Kenilworth toward Cambroon.

    • Make sure you check out Charlie Moreland (I recommend 4WD only - many 2WD’s go in there) or;

    • Booloumba Creek (4WD only) in Conondale National Park. The rainforests and bush walks are a sight to be seen!

  4. Drive up the range to Maleny

    • A beautiful old world town where you need to walk the street, located on top of a lush plateau with a hint of eccentric about it.

    • Visit Brouhaha Brewery for lunch if the timing is right.

    • Approx 30+ minutes from Charlie Moreland.

  5. Leaving Maleny, Montville is your next destination.

    • This is an old world town that time has forgotten.

    • Sitting atop a ridge that looks out over the Sunshine Coast, on a good weather day the view will be magical and you’ll never want to leave.

    • Great for afternoon strolls and a beverage in one of the many restaurants sitting over the cliff edge.

    • Approx 15 - 20mins North from Maleny

  6. Time to head home to Boston Shaker Bar for a cocktail.

    • Make your way north to Mapleton just down the road and head down the range via the Sunny Coast’s town capital of Nambour (built off the back of the old sugar cane farming era)

    • From here, your on your way back to Mooloolaba for a cocktail at Boston Shaker Bar. Make sure you come and say hi and let me know how your hinterland trip was

I wouldn’t recommend you do the whole lot in one day, spread it out, take in the scenery…. and enjoy your adventure hop!

Cheers, Livi
